Since 2011 there are frequent creative workshops for photographers «Karosta — foto osta». Each time from the best works created in the workshop an open-air exhibition is made, that attracts a lot of public attention. Each year photographers had another task and the photo collections created were completely different — Karosta inhabitants portrait, industrial heritage, «restoration» of historical shots, objects that no longer serve their original purpose and slowly perish. The environment is changing very quickly today. Many places captured in pictures are already gone and can not be visited anymore.
Photographers from all over Latvia took part in the creative workshops.
PHOTO ARCHIVE contains mostly pictures created in workshops and also other interesting shots of Karosta.
The creative workshop of 2014 was dedicated to «restoration» of historical shots.
